Why Is My Happiness Everyone’s Concern?
Do you want to be happy?
There, I triggered a chain of thought in you. Am I happy? Or not? What am I doing with my life? And the likes of such doubts has started floating in your mind. The moment a question about our happiness is asked, the mind starts drawing a balance sheet of good, bad and ugly things which took place in our lives. I am no psychoanalyst, but we tend to give more importance to the bad phases of our lives.
It might not occur to us that the reason behind all this hoopla might be the spotlight shone on ‘being happy’ too much.
Happiness is state of mind. Not a boisterous show of cheerfulness. Nothing wrong with that either. But is it so vital to put up a facade of a smiley face, everytime you feel happy.
Or, even for that matter, is something fundamentally wrong with not being happy. I mean all the time.
