Finally! You decided to ditch the urban jungle this holiday season and head out towards the real ones. As you dare delve into the land of growls, jungle fowls and owls a sense of trepidation gives you the jitters! After all, you think, it’s an alien world out there amidst the wilderness, isn’t it? But surely there is something hidden amidst the enigmatic foliage – something that we can take away something that pierces the mind and heart to create a lingering sweetness? Here’s to the surreal experiences in the wild that left a mark on my and piqued my curiosity to escape to such locales now and again!

With golden dawn, new Belief is born

As the mist swirls through the tree-scapes, you witness the rising sun – it’s dancing rays seemingly bathing the new born world in a glorious golden glow. As you are made privy to this warmth-laden welcome extended to the new day, your heart warms to a fuzzy sense of comfort! Isn’t this what new beginnings are all about? As the world unfurls to a fresh start, each day dawns upon you – a canvas to be painted upon by the streaks of your creative mind. Let go of the past, leave behind the shackles of your mind and revel in the newness of a dew-fresh day! Seize opportunities today, for however long the night may have seemed and however deadly the depths of darkness would have reached, tomorrow, my friend is sure to dawn a new day. Every day is a new day, believe in the inherent goodness that soon there shall be - Bright and warm, a golden dawn!

Where pugmarks abound, your direction is found

So you decided to follow your heart and seize the right opportunities! But you are oh-so directionless of which way to go, what to do! As you scout the jungle lands on your safari ride, you suddenly spot the tell-tale signs of a tiger nearby – the fresh pugmark. Loud and clear – this is the clue that leads you in the correct direction for a mind-blowing sighting of this majestic predator! In the end it’s all about the clues – those small indicators that call out to you about being in the right or wrong. When in doubt, follow the clues that sprout! So wake up, open your eyes and ears and listen to those clues- your inner voice talking to you, the advice of trusted friends and knowledge gained from the right sources. Listen to the signs that are shouting out to you to decide on which direction you wish to go! Believe, in them, for they shall guide you towards the right actions.

The Alarm Call – Communicates to one and all

As your safari gypsy follows the signs of the pugmark in the correct direction, your ears are pricked by the distinct waves of a sambar call. Loud and clear, the call of distress- the alarm call is the ultimate communication to fellow forest citizens. A warning to keep safe from the lurking predator. This coordinated communication defines the ways of life and death in the ways of the wild. Clear, concise and timed perfectly communication is a way of life for all social animals, man included. Communication of the right things at the right time through the right time can do wonders for the growth of self and the community. Adopt clear and open communication channels and see a world of trust and openness unfurl around you!

By more than one, unreal battles are won

You are wandering the jungles of Central India when you catch a glimpse of bushy tails and sharp canines! These are our furry friends’ cousins of the wild – Wild Dogs or Dholes. Known to exist in packs, their notorious ways of hunting are the talk of the town. Strategists to the core and masters of group hunting, you witness the most coordinated attack on prey for this fight for survival – a the pack leader challenging the prey while the group surrounds the hapless victim as they take up their respective positions of attack. What follows is a coordinated play of predatory attack that is bound to tire the victim and bring him down. A meal earned thanks to the terrific teamwork displayed. Coordination & collaboration and playing to one’s strengths goes a long way in achieving success. Collaborate your way to a game won!

Stealth of the Striped, makes opportunity strike

As you follow the calls and the territorial marks, you suddenly see a deer graze calmly on the lush greens. Crouched low flat on the ground you can just about make out a medley of stripes. Before you realize your luck, your eyes behold one of nature’s most breath-taking sight – a tiger stalking his prey. Supreme stealth defines her graceful moves as she alternatively crouches and approaches to seize the opportunity. And seize opportunity she does. Mark your endeavours as she does- cautious and calculated at the start and striking all out at the right moment.  Seize the right moment to grab your win. After all, seizing the opportunity at the right time is what shall take you places. 

As dusk falls, reflections

The harmonized jungle cacophony of the day slowly disappears with the last rays of the sun. You marvel at the transformation that follows – A sheath of silence envelops the soul of the jungle as the distant twitters are engulfed by the bleak blackness. Tis’ a time to reflect, after all even the wittiest of grey cells need fodder from time to time. Time for yourself. Harness the power of your mind and see through this darkness through purposeful reflection. Question your actions, question the status quo, for, to reflect is to grow, and to grow is to move towards higher heights It’s easy to get lost in the glaring chirps of the cicadas and yet listen closely and you shall find the finer tunes of the jungle lore trying to tell you a fascinating story in the dead of the night. Listen to the small voices that define your essence. Learn and act on your reflections and you shall witness a new dawn, bright and warm!
