Home-based workers perform their responsibilities and tasks from home and usually stay in contact with the employer via phone or the internet. Although the majority of their work is performed at home, home-based workers may sometimes be expected to visit their employer’s workspace. Other home-based workers are self-employed, providing their own goods or services from their place of residence.
