#TheGirlIcon Eve Teased At 9, Khushboo Mobilises Girls In Her Community To Take Charge

It is now a usual happening to hear stories of a woman being teased, harassed or raped in the corners of India. No matter how much consciousness of this wrongdoing has been rolled out, there are still some spineless humans who continue this criminality. It is hence natural that we worry our daughters, sisters, mothers or wives need to be shielded every time they step out freely in the streets.  


In a chaotic hustle of finding such safe measures for women, we come across fiery girls like Khushboo who restore our faith in women’s independent well being. Khushboo, a young 14 years old girl is a very alert and engaging personality. At such a tender age, she is immensely and maturely vocal about fair rights for a woman to live safely. Realizing the tremors of misconduct towards women at the mere age of 9, she decided to contest the crime spread in her community since then.


“Yeh galat hai.” (This is wrong) said the enthusiastic fighter who is eagerly determined to spread the same word of awareness.


“I have been eve teased at an early age of 9 and I cannot bear any injustice now. Girls should have the freedom to move and breathe. I do my best to oppose many abuses in my sight but the urge to fight needs to be fueled in girls. I would at least start the change from my community in Uttar Pradesh.” Much adamant on her path since 4 years now, her unshaken dedication astounds many grownups like us. Moreover, the confidence to kick atrocity anywhere comes from her much love for karate.


The chirpy inspiring girl, along with this passion, dreams of being a doctor. Owing her entire strength to her parents, she wishes to mobilize the similar courage and zeal in other girls of her community.
