Take Charge Of Your Health -Just Doc
As a woman of this day and era, you need to take charge of your health and stop procrastinating. The worst thing all women can do is to put their health on the back burner. What we don’t realize is that we women are the future of this nation. Without us, there is no nation. We create and procreate generations. So why should we ignore our health?
Did you know at least 40% of women in India have period abnormalities? And only 40% of them discuss it with doctors.
When you notice you're skipping periods, or that they are irregular or the fact that you haven’t had them at all since months ,it could mean trouble. There might be some problem with the ovaries, uterus or the cervix. Acne is a very usual among women but, have you ever realized that it could mean more than just a pimple? This needs medical attention. You need to visit a doctor to be able to help you. Hirsutism or facial hair and growth of hair over non-hairy areas of the body is a tell-tale sign of PCOS. However, most women ignore the irregularity in their periods till they discover the problem of infertility or have trouble conceiving after marriage.
A lot of these problems come naturally when our body mass index is unbalanced. Most women don’t even know how much should they weigh and that the weight should always be in tandem with your height and age. Many a time we face problems that are related to our weight, these are sensitive issues. We talk about it seldom and hardly ever work on them. The problem is that by the time we realise that we are overweight ,it is already too late. The right time to deal with these issues is now. It won’t be easy but with the help of a partner, coach or a doctor you can get fit and fine once again.
Clean and clear skin is a sign of good health for men and women both. Don’t ignore your pimples, spots, acne all of this could point to something greater. Maybe a medical condition that you are overlooking. Women are quite observant and your clean skin can inspire many others to take care of themselves too. This also points to the fact that you are healthy and on the right track.
Health doesn’t just mean being physically fit, staying strong mentally is also equally important. If your relationship is stressful, you are overburdened at work or things are complicated at home, then you need to speak to someone. Consulting a psychologist or a physician will be of help. They can help you identify the issue and appropriate steps can be taken to address the problem. Many women are stressed mentally, physically and emotionally without realising that they need a therapist.
We have to juggle many roles, perform well and must take some time out for ourselves Let’s put ourselves first and take charge of our health. Because if we don’t then no one else will.
