Son Of Sarita Devi Cheers Loudest For Mama’s Pro Bout Win #CutenessGoals
It was a moment of immense pride and jubilation for boxer Laishram Sarita Devi. The 35 year old debuted in the professional category, locking blows with Hungarian pugilist, Zsofia Bedo in the IBC Fight Night on 29th January 2017 and won it fair and square.
Sarita had been under immense pressure to prove her mettle and her family has also made innumerable sacrifices to accommodate these pressures.
After exchanging heated words prior to the scheduled bout, the Hungarian boxer had brushed off Sarita’s experience in amateur boxing. Whereas Sarita Devi, not one to take it lying down, asked her to wait and watch her game. And boy we did watch the nail-biting match.
To prepare for the bout, Sarita had been training under American Joe Clough for the past fortnight. The Manipuri boxer said that since the contest was taking place in her backyard, it had motivated her to showcase her talent.
The bout which took place in her home turf Imphal, she had registered a phenomenal win. Sarita Devi is now a pro and she’s aiming for Asian crown.
But what charmed every spectator was the fact that her son celebrated his mother’s win by hijacking the ring. His jubilant display and loud cheers simply warmed our hearts. Watching his mom winning at something, had filled this toddler with pride and he couldn’t contain himself from congratulating his mother in the ring.
This darling moment also gives out a message to all the working mothers that their kids are proud of them. They don’t have to fit themselves into the idea of a ‘perfect mother.’ Your children know that you’re doing your best.
