What better time to express your gratitude than when you are ending a year and just about to start a new year with new zeal and enthusiasm. Looking back and expressing gratitude for all that one has accomplished so far, brings in more positive energy when starting with new paths and objectives in the New Year.

It’s difficult for anyone to be able to list out by name, each and every person and event, who / which has contributed in one’s life, making it better and successful. And it’s going to be super difficult for me too, to be able to name each one of my angels. But I am going to try and name as many as I possibly can.

The list starts with the 3 important men in my life - first one being my son. I can never be more grateful to the Almighty than I already am, for my son. I have grown up with him. He has taught me so many lessons on management, compassion, patience and empathy. He has given me the support I needed to be able to work, since a very early age. If he was not the way he is, I am sure I would not be working.

Next in line is my father – I lost my mother at an early age. My father was at the peak of his career then and was a super successful technocrat. He sacrificed everything he built in his professional life, to be able to take care of us. He made me who I am today. It’s an understatement to say I owe him every bit of my success whether as a technology professional or entrepreneur.

Last but not the least – my husband – for he has been a continuous source of encouragement for me at work and in my personal life.

Besides family, I would have to thank my bosses that I had throughout my career – I was blessed to always have the best bosses, who guided me to become more successful. Quite a few of my clients have been very kind to me and I have felt super confident under their able leadership. When they acknowledged my work, I felt my reputation grow in my own eyes. Made me feel good about myself and my work. I feel tremendously grateful to them for taking time to know my work.

I am thankful to fellow entrepreneurs and software testers and thinkers, who encouraged me to get better at what I do.  I am really grateful to associations like TiE, Nasscom for Start-Ups, Software Test Pro and SHEROES for doing so much around our work – it gives me a sense of belonging.  When you are a budding entrepreneur – you don’t have a huge team to bank on – you are building your team and in those moments, such associations are a big help to have a network of like-minded folks. I am grateful to those who make it happen for us. A special shout out to those selfless ones in the ecosystem who help because helping is a way of life for them. And lot of work is made possible because a few such special ones decide to openly help.

As I close my note thanking all for helping me achieve my dreams and lead a fulfilling life, I don’t have enough words to express my emotions for the friends who have stood by me in every decision and turn I made in my life. These friends are superstars in their own fields but are so humble too. I am grateful to be blessed by such loving and caring people...
