- The Supreme Court refused urgent hearing of a PIL seeking independent probe into the alleged suicide of ex-Arunachal CM Kalikho Pul, on Friday.
- Pul’s suicide note has caused quite a stir for alleging that the sitting Chief Justice of India, President Pranab Mukherjee and other politicians indulged in corrupt practices.
- Days after "withdrawing" her petition to Chief Justice of India Justice JS Khehar, late Arunchal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul's first wife approached the offices of Vice-President Hamid Ansari, demanding a probe at the "highest level" into charges of bribe-taking by the two topmost judges of the Supreme Court.
