Oscars Mix-up: Moonlight vs La La Land Sends Twitter Into Meltdown
Who could’ve imagined the Oscars would goof up this bad? A lot was said and done at the 89th Academy Awards, but the Best Picture Award sequence stole the show. ‘Moonlight’ bagged the coveted award, but not before the organisers erroneously announced that ‘La La Land’ had won the golden man instead.

Others saw poetic justice in the mixup.
In true form, La La Land only won Best Picture in a fantasy moment shared between former lovers imagining wistfully what might have been.
