My Biography Won’t Be About the Men I’ve Dated: Manisha Koirala
Manisha Koirala who has been travelling extensively for motivational lectures is all set to put her past experiences into a book. The actress fought and defeated cancer in 2012 and wants to put her experiences down in a book.
“I’ve had offers to write my autobiography. But these seem more keen on the gossip and scandals in my life. I don’t want to discuss the men in my life in my book. All of that has been done to death in papers and magazines. Why do I need to delve into the tabloid aspects of my life again?” asks Manisha, and without waiting for an answer , proceeds to reveal what she will put in her book.
Manisha has already begun work on her memoir. She is now on the look-out for a co-author. “I want someone who will surrender to the endeavour, devote all his or her time to telling my story. I want the book to be as motivational as my lectures, but far more cohesive and penetrating.”
Manisha says she is invited widely to lecture. “I am on motivational lecture tours constantly. In fact I leave for one in a week’s time. When I lecture I make sure I don’t bore my audience with things they don’t want to hear. It is very important for me to connect with my story. I don’t want to thrust my ideas on people. At the same time I want to tell my story the way I want to, not the way people want to hear it. My journey has not been an easy one. I want people who read my book to realise that it is not impossible to conquer adversity as long as you focus on positivity.”
Three years after conquering cancer Manisha has chosen to remain single. “I am very much single and very happy that way. I will get into a relationship only for keeps now, when I am sure that the man is right for me.”
