Meet the SHEROES - Pooja Bohra
Tell us about yourself and what you do.
I love to do everything in life with passion. Ardently devoted to my work, I am involved in multifarious activities. I enjoy all the good things life has to offer and am focused towards my goals. At the same time, I am inwardly drawn towards the plight of the under-privileged and wish to devote my time and money for their upliftment. I want to specially devote my energy for giving a dignified living to the old abandoned poor people and for providing education to children who have been denied this basic right in life.
Professionally I am into real estates and Event management.
What was the motivation to start NGO Soul?
My love towards humanity drove me to work for social causes since I was a child. Actually, my dad always encouraged me to be kind and compassionate. I continued to work for the under-privileged children during my youth and in order to increase the scope of my outreach, I formed SOUL Ngo with life-minded people to collectively pool our resources and energies for the upliftment of under-privileged people. Mr. Ramneesh Tangri who is a father figure to me has always been my motivation and is the most important part of SOUL. We aptly name this NGO, SOUL which is an abbreviation for Society of Universe Lovers. Anyone who loves this universe and wants to give back something to the society can become a part of this NGO.
Real estate, event management and NGO how do you manage to work on all this at same time? Women don’t generally are apprehensive to join real estate, tell us how is real estate a good industry for women?
I got into Real estate in 2010 as an employee of a reputed firm , where worked for almost 6 months and but working for someone was not my cup of tea so I with my brother Satya planned to open our own company and took a fight to the business world . He was always my inspiration; my GURU and my support. I envy him in every which way he is my prototype in terms of my professional life. Working with a real estate company was not a challenge for me because I was surrounded with some wonderful people also I never found that it is difficult for women to survive in real estate. Yes, real estate is really a good industry to work with as it is one of the richest industry of the world and gives individual a chance to introduce itself to one of the finest sales and marketing industry positively.
