What field of work are you currently in?

I am in the field of fresh flowers and making designer floral arrangements that are sent  as wishes. My company is - Spring Blossoms 

Why did you decide to be part of this field? What inspired you?

What inspired me, was that i was going to be my own boss and that I would have flexible timings with my family. I was also always creative, and this was a very nice way of keeping the creativity honed in, while earning a substantial income doing so. 

What are the biggest challenges in this field that you as a woman face?

Honestly speaking I did not face challenges as a woman, in as much as this field is not male centric.  The host of tax issues and municipal issues are actually very time consuming and unproductive to any new entrepreneur and a lot of time ,energy and money is spent regularly sorting these out.  

The other problem I face as any entrepreneur is collection for services rendered. The legal system being what it is, this proves a main challenge as payments, especially from large companies often take much longer than the stipulated time and hence funding this gap is a problem without support from banks. I feel, here there could be some specially fund, or cover provided to women who need micro financial help.

What are your future career / business plans?

I have been in this business for a long time. I am satisfied with my work place and work conditions, i strive to seek new paths in career enhancement. 

What differentiates you / your business in the market?

My business is personal, and design centric. People, and clients all have different needs and different visual senses. So when somebody like my creativity, they find the personal touch of a good service too. This inspires me, and my client and it is the main reason why my clients keep coming back to me.
