I’ve Been Through a Lot: Gurmehar Withdraws from Anti-ABVP Protest
A 20-year-old student of Lady Sri Ram College, Gurmehar Kaur, who had initiated a campaign against ABVP following their violent actions at Ramjas College, has formally withdrawn from the protest, after facing rape threats by ABVP supporters and harassment from well-known celebrities.
In a series of tweets she sarcastically congratulated those who had been harassing her to the point of successfully ensuring that she distances herself from the campaign.
In an interview with NDTV, she expressed her concern over the backlash she’s been receiving in the form of rape threats. The situation got so intense that two women constables from Delhi Police will now provide her round-the-clock security.

Actor Randeep Hooda had also joined Sehwag in his mocking analogy, which came under heavy criticism by Barkha Dutt and Shekar Gupta.
