Want to attract someone ... wear red., but wear blue for that dream job you have in mind!!! You will learn all & more when you study colors psychology.

Well there is a deep connection as to how our emotions and moods vary according to the colors. Scientists suggest that colors have a language and can affect us on a day to day basis. The four primary colors - red, yellow, blue and green are related with our body, emotions, mind and a balance between the three, respectively.

See how colors affects us in our day to day life:

Red denotes energy, courage, strength and excitement. The negatives of this color are aggression, strain and defiance. Red is most powerful because it has the longest wavelength. Though it is not very visible it appears to be nearer than the other colors, therefore grabs attention faster. Red is also a symbol of love and lust. Research has backed that men are attracted and spend more on women who wear red.

Blue stands for intellectual, communication, intelligence, serenity, trust and calmness, whereas the negative effects are aloofness and lack of emotion. If you want to crack that interview for the dream job wear blue as it brings confidence and loyalty. Women are attracted to men who wear blue as they symbolise them with being more faithful, trustworthy and stable in life. Here is a secret, want to shed weight, try eating from a blue plate as it puts off your appetite.

Yellow is the color of emotions, optimism, creativity, self-esteem and confidence. However, it can strike off fear, anxiety, depression and suicide tendencies in a person. Yellow has the longest wavelength. It stimulates emotions. Therefore, it is considered to be the strongest color psychologically. Psychologists state that partners argue and babies cry more in yellow rooms. The reason for this is that light reflects at higher intensity in bright colors thus making yellow irritating to the eye. However, if used in controlled doses it promotes happiness and improves memory.

Green is usually associated with balance, luxury, containment, spirituality and awareness. The negative qualities of this color are inferiority and suppression. Green falls in the centre of spectrum and thus strikes a balance and no adjustments are needed to view this color. Also, it is believed to be associated with growth, recovery and healing. Ever wondered why most of the hospitals use green...?

Black stands for sophistication, substance, glamour, security and emotional safety. It is also associated with heaviness, coldness, menace and oppression. Black absorbs all the colors so it kind of creates a protective barrier. Black has no wavelength and can be quite menacing for some people. None the less it is a symbol of sophistication and works well with white. Black usually has the perception of seriousness and weight. And yes, it is just a myth that black clothes make you look slimmer!!!

White is for purity, peace, cleanliness, tranquillity, hygiene or to sum it up, it means “Touch me Not”. It also indicates coldness, unfriendliness and barriers. Visually white gives the appearance of bigger spaces.

As per the Indian astrology and Ayurveda, the days of the week are associated with different Gods and their planets. Experts believe that if you dress according to the color colorse day, you will be lucky in whatever you have planned for the day:
