They are successful, hard-working, pressed for time and barely manage five hours of sleep. Then, what is the secret of their energy? Here is the fitness mantra of five top women CEO's decoded just for you.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chief Managing Director, Biocon Limited

She believes in the restorative influence of water. She admitted in an interview, “I am a water baby.” Her workout schedule is a combination of swimming, yoga and cardio for an hour on weekdays. It may stretch by an extra half hour on weekends. Her diet comprises cereal and a fruit in the breakfast, salad and soup for lunch, and, some carbs, meat and salad for dinner.

A mother of two, she hits the gym for kickboxing and weight-training. Her other indulgences are swimming, horse-riding and running on the beach. She keeps an eye on her food intake and follows a balanced diet plan. She once confided in an interview with The Economic Times, “

The uncrowned tycoon of the beauty business, she often emphasises the importance of good health for beauty. She believes in the healing power of yoga and its practise on daily basis for holistic health. She once wrote for The Times of India, “The appeal of yoga lies in the fact that it helps both body and mind.”
