Expelled Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Thursday hit out at Akhilesh Yadav and went on to say that BJP would come to power in Uttar Pradesh with a full majority.

“I agree with Mulayam Singh's statement that the BJP will get an absolute majority in Uttar Pradesh,” Amar Singh said in an interview to CNN-News18. However, it’s not clear which statement of Mulayam’s he was referring to.

He also criticised SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s decisions to join hands with the Congress. “I have always considered Akhilesh my son. As he grew up, he stopped giving me respect. I won’t wish him victory, but I wish him a long life,” he said.

He also pointed out that SP leaders who have been accused of rape are still campaigning for the party while he was expelled.
