More female employees in the tech industry will induce newer and more innovation. This article will tell you why technology requires more women.

More innovation is required for women-oriented products

If we observe the market, products that relate to only women seem to be fewer than those used by men. Products like big breast pumps, tracking tools etc.  These type of products will be produced more, once the ratio of women-men at the workplace became equal.

A girl’s childhood will have better influence

From the early years, it is seen that a boy is given a toy train to play with while a girl is given a barbie doll to play with. It is observed that a girl is discouraged from using too much technology whereas a boy is encouraged. This is a very dangerous effect on a child’s psychology because although she will be interested, she will not consider herself capable of it.

If the number of women employees increases, such type of gender differences will be removed eventually.

Sexual aggravation will be reduced

As the number of female employees increases, the male - female balance will be same. There will be equality in the number of male and female genders and as a result, the sexual stalking / harassment of female employees will reduce or even disappear and women will be free and comfortable to work more on night shifts as well.

Gender discrimination in appointments will reduce

Women seem to face sexism in their jobs as well. Even during job interviews, sometimes, out of the two candidates having the same educational qualifications and skill sets, one of them receives a higher salary package only because he is male and the company considers him to be stronger than the female candidate. This is unfair because judging a person by his or her gender is the worst possible thing that can happen. Once the number of female employees at the workplace increases, male dominance won’t exist in the industry.

More gender balance = better results
Today in the technology industry, there are fewer experts in comparison to the increasing demands and vacancies. Increasing the number of expert engineers and scientists will increase productivity and innovation. If the number of female techies increases to the level of men and if it is even more, then eventually the number of techies will increase which will be a great help in overall technology growth.

Sometimes, difference in thoughts is important
Different genders have different opinions and they generally think in different ways. Women seem to be more creative and artistic than men. The addition of an equal number of men and women will bring diversity to the work environment. And diversity in thinking, ideas, etc are always healthy for work.
