Recently a super cool space called The Wing opened up in New York City. Imagine working from a café as a freelancer or girlboss, and having to change clothes for a meeting that you are running late to in the loo of the cafe, with 2% battery left on your phone, and no way to charge it to call a taxi to make it to your meeting!
That is exactly what happened to founder Audrey Gelman, and she set out to create a flexible space where women could work, store extra things, meet other kick ass professional women, and get a blowout if they wanted.
As more and more women choose to work remotely, spaces like The Wing make sense. Especially in urban Indian metropolises, travelling back to home when you are out for a meeting to get a phone charger, change clothes, prep, or unwind just doesn’t make sense. Traffic, weather, dust and other #cityproblems can hinder us from getting away – why not use a space like The Wing to create a calm and connected to worklife and ease your daily routine? We applaud Audrey here at SHEROES. Audrey if you even want to come to India, we are game!
Check out the beautiful space:
The Workspace to get social and focus when you need to
The Parlor for getting your hair laid before that important meeting
Lockers for storing all your things- no more going home for a charger!
The Wing also hosts cool events like custom suit fitting and meetings for women activists, a book club, and the usual helpful workshops for freelancers and entrepreneurs:
