Former BCCI President Shashank Manohar has resigned from his as post as the chairman of the International Cricket Council, ending an eight-month reign at the top of world cricket.
Manohar was elected to the post in May 2016 on a two-year term, and most recently, was spearheading the efforts to reduce ‘The Big Three’s’ powers and revenues from the sport. In the last ICC meet in Dubai in February, the Indian representatives hit a roadblock, with the board voting to pass a bill to drastically decrease the BCCI’s revenue share.
