Sowmya: A media graduate with over 7 years of experience in the advertising industry. An ardent foodie, a mom and a health junkie.
Diksha: A media graduate with over 8 years of experience in the Events and Advertising Industry. Avid baker and a food lover.
What got Food Tribe started?
When we started looking for alternative food, be it to ready-to-serve snacks or food that made cooking a less elaborate affair in the kitchen, we hardly had any options. The options available were either brimming with chemicals or loaded with fat. And the few who did cater to health enthusiasts were restricted to their locality. We wanted to provide these local food artisans who make handmade food & preservative free food, a platform to promote themselves, and to make healthier, preservative free food easily available to the customers.
What were the challenges you faced in starting-up?
Logistics are a huge challenge for us. We are not dealing with an organised sector and most of our vendors are home chefs, hence we have been set back by certain personal limitations from their end too.
