Calcutta High Court judge, Justice CS Karnan, who is facing contempt charges, demanded Rs 14 crore in compensation on Thursday from the seven judges who are hearing his case.
Justice Karnan is facing contempt charges for his corruption allegations against the judges of Madras High Court and Supreme Court.
On Wednesday, West Bengal police chief along with 100 officers reached the High Court judge’s home to serve a warrant ordered by the SC.

"The seven judges have prevented me in carrying out my judicial and administrative works from 8 February till now. Therefore, I am calling upon all seven judges to pay compensation, a sum of Rs 14 crore as compensation since you disturbed my mind and my normal life, besides you have insulted me in the general public due to lack of legal knowledge," The Times of India reported him saying.
The SC had issued bailable arrest warrant against him on 10 March and ordered him to be present before the court on 31 March, as he has defied the SC summons twice.
