“I want to be a doctor”… “I want to be a pilot” ...”I want to be a painter”
And twenty years later, we don’t even remember them. When we are young, we dream, dream big and wild. But as we grow up, these dreams just go away and we stare in the face of life, doing things, which make no sense to us.
What happens to us when we grow up? Does education ruin us? Why do we stop dreaming… stop doing things, which make us happy? All of us, note that, all of us join some rat race, do the same like everyone else, make a living and forget to live. Then one fine day, the truth hits us – is this the life story we want to share? And the search for happiness and inner peace begins. Some find it but some of us, keep cribbing about it.
“Do what makes you happy” is what wise men have been telling us ever since. But we as fools want to experiment and see it for our selves. We call ourselves smart but don’t act smartly. If we were smart, we would have taken their advice or learnt from their failures.
Most of us are clueless. Our ‘I want to be…’ changes with the change in season. That’s perfectly okay. Try. Take the first step to your dreams. Go on that adventure. Fail. Learn. After all, ‘adventures are the best way to learn’. And as at SHEROES we always say – Dream On!
