The launch had satellites owned by 6 different countries including 96 from US and one each from Switzerland, Kazakhstan, UAE, Israel and Netherlands. Each statellite weighing upto 4.7kg
What makes it unique? Sushmita Mohanty , CEO Earth2Orbit, says ”It's fairly complex to get a foreign commercial company to launch on a rocket built by a government space agency” . Her firm has been helping companies negotiate deals between the Indian Space Agencies and Private Firms.
Yes, its complex and pricey for private firms to launch the satellite. ISRO have mastered the low cost but super efficient launch. Highest number of satellite have been 37 by Russia beating 29 by Nasa. To top it all, this launch includes two Nano-satellites from India.
