Research has proven that women led companies perform three times better than those with men leading in the front, unfortunately still women own only five percent of the startups in the US’s Silicon Valley.
It has been quite a while since a lot of conversations have been happening around fostering an inclusive gender diverse culture. The female entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley having both bitter sweet experiences as the dynamics shift.
Katie Elizabeth, founder GoHero describes her experience of being a female entrepreneur in the Silicon startup Valley to be extremely enriching and tells that, “Between the headquarters of many tech giants and the startup-centric conversations in nearly every coffee shop, living here as an entrepreneur feels like I finally have a steady supply of oxygen. Expensive oxygen with the high cost of living—but a necessary element for me and my startup.”
