As BJP crosses the halfway mark in Uttar Pradesh and looks to sweep the state, Congress leaders are coming out to defend Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi — though not in the most politically-savvy manner.

Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that Gandhi should not be singled out for the party’s performance in UP and said,
