We are excited and glued to our television sets. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the budget for the financial year 2017-18. Post demonetisation, we have kept our fingers crossed for ‘ache din’ and this budget is our ray of hope. FM Jaitley said in his budget speech that the government has made an effort to honour the honest taxpayers.
There have been some sweeping promises made in the budget like:-
Government targets to bring 1 crore households out of poverty by 2019.
Govt. also proposes to complete 1 crore houses for the homeless.
And the country’s is well on its way to achieve 100% rural electrification by March 2018. Many more such goals which have been pegged to be achieved within a span of the next two years.
