Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was the Andaz Apna Apna of Indian television, except that it never flopped but enjoys a similar cult status. The good news is that the show is all set to return as a web series with the characters taking a 7-year leap.

Indian TV hasn’t had too many comedy shows that have been truly original, superbly scripted and as rib-tickling as Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. That’s why we still miss it even after all these years.
JD Majethia, the show’s producer who also featured in it, had tweeted in June last year saying that fans should expect to hear some good news about the show soon. JD also shared this picture with the main star cast and we’ve been grinning ever since.

Satish Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah’s characters Indravardhan and Maya Sarabhai, along with the hilarious jing bang comprising of Monisha the daughter-in-law (Rupali Ganguly), Rosesh the dumb one (Rajesh Kumar) and Sahil the perfect son (Sumeet Raghavan), made us laugh for two years straight (2004-2006).
