“Today, I completed 3 years in SHEROES :)
It has been beautiful, but honestly, a not very easy journey till now. When I joined, after a small induction held in parts by Pallavy, Shipra (some of you have met her) and 2 other team members; I felt I know enough of it and, will be able to do everything and anything here without much challenges. But, as I went deep into it, each time my vision and scope to learn new things, widened.”
“I could feel the pain in the stories that were shared with me by the community also because I have been on the other side. Whether, it was about the pain of not being able to be self-dependant even after being skilled enough or, about the anxiety of not being able to follow my aspirations! Wanting to provide financial support to the family was the most common one; my motive of working changed.”
“I always thank my stars that I am privileged enough for not being on that side anymore. Now, besides working for myself, I was also working to help community wherever we could. I understood, what we meant to the community. We still are their hope, their love, their go-to place. I have been fortunate to have worked closely around both pillars of SHEROES - Community and Corporate,from an early stage and this gave me a chance to understand the strong connect between the two. I can proudly say that I enjoyed both the sides. This also made me feel the respect that both sides have for us. Had a chance to change roles multiple times within the organization. Starting from managing a few of them in parallel at a given point that is, when we were a very small team. But besides giving me a learning experience it also kept increasing my love for the work we do. Sometimes, I have been really low and realized the need to make a change within myself and get started again and thankfully I did it to give myself a kick. Sairee helped me with it each time.”
