Another day and another round of protests in Delhi University. On Tuesday, around 2000 students and faculty members marched in the North Campus area, to protest against the violence meted out by right-wing student body ABVP, during a peaceful protest in Ramjas College last week.
Raising slogans of “ABVP khabardar”, protestors marched from Delhi University’s Khalsa College to the Faculty of Arts.

Unlike the previous protests, the march on Tuesday was joined in by former students of DU, JNU faculty members, and even a few concerned citizens, who condemned violence as a form of thwarting dissent.

A student who was holding a banner that read “Bharat Ki Mata Nahin Banegi” said, “They cannot issue rape threats and say bharat mata ki jai in the same breath.”
